NOGA leader in organizing or co-organizing events during the last quarter of 2016

National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) issued a list of conferences, exhibitions and events to be organized or co-organized and held in the Kingdom of Bahrain during the last quarter of 2016. On this occasion, Minister of Oil His Excellency Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa said that NOGA would continue to organize oil events, respecting the directives of the leadership for the to put in all efforts to achieve success in promoting the country as the regional conference hub. NOGA is keen to attract all major international oil and gas events and activities to maintain Bahrain's position as a major hub in the Gulf region and the Middle East to hold international conferences and events. NOGA will continue with more efforts and provide all facilities for the success of the events and help them achieve desired goals and aspirations. The conferences and exhibitions organised in the country contributed to the promotion of investments in oil projects, which would contribute to the development and growth of the oil and gas sector in the Kingdom and raise the efficiency of the workforce in the key sector.



According to the list, during the latter half of 2016 NOGA has nine (9) events already lined up for being hosted in Bahrain, including exhibitions and conferences. Among them is the 10th Middle East Refining and Petrochemical Conference (Petrotech 2016) which will be held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, from September 26 to 29, an event organized by Arabian Exhibition Management, which organises a number of specialized events in Bahrain in cooperation with NOGA and supported by several international oil companies. The event will be held at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre, which has been hosting the Petrotech series, where experts and specialists, engineers from a large number of oil companies and petrochemical and refining industries world over participate. The exhibition has visitors from many countries who take an interest in modern technology in the sector. The Middle East Petrotech conference and exhibition is one of the most important events held in Bahrain every two years.



According to the list, eight other events will be held successively from the beginning of October until the end of December 2016, under the patronage of H.E. Shaikh Mohammed, starting with the2nd Middle East Ethylene Conference and Exhibition organized by M.I.E. Company, in collaboration with NOGA, from October 17 to 18. This is a specialized conference, which is expected to attract a large number of interested parties and delegates to take part from various international oil companies. The first conference in the series was held in Bahrain in 2014 and met with great participation from specialized regional and international companies. This will be followed by the Petroleum Media Seminar on October 20, organized by the GCC General in collaboration with NOGA. The seminar will focus on several topics related to oil and gas strategies, petroleum information in the GCC in order to promote petroleum culture in the GCC countries. This will be followed by Bottom of the Barrel Technology Conference (BBTC), held October 26 to 27. The conference deals with refining oil drums technology and is being organized by Euro Petroleum Consultants and Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco), in cooperation with NOGA. The event will be held for the first time in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The next event will be Perfect Health Conference, which will be held from November 23 to November 26. It is organized by Physicians Health professional association with Eorgn Group & Bapco in coordination with NOGA. The conference aims to build awareness to health and safety in the workplace and community relations, thus contributing to increase productivity and efficiency. The list includes 10th ChemIndix, International Chemistry in Industry Conference and Exhibition 2016, which will be held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and the Prime Minister. The event is being organized by Saudi Arabian International Chemical Sciences (Dhahran division) in coordination with NOGA on November 22-24, a conference to create a scientific representation in order to attract interested sections in the petroleum and petrochemical industries as well as prominent scientists and researchers who are involved in the latest research and development projects related to chemical industries to share new methods harnessed for the development of related industries in the countries of the region.



The end of 2016 will see four events under the patronage of H.E. Shaikh Mohammed, the first being the3rd Middle East Artificial Lift Conference and Exhibition held from November 30 to December 1. The event is being organized by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) in coordination NOGA, a regular event held in Bahrain. This will be followed by Middle East Maintenance Conference and Exhibition (Maintcon 2016), which will be held from December 11 to 14. The event is organized by the Bahrain Society of Engineers in cooperation with the Gulf Society for Maintenance and Reliability in coordination with NOGA. The last event in the calendar will be the World Petroleum Council (WPC) forum, which is being held for the first time in the Kingdom of Bahrain, from December 13 to 15. The forum is being organized by the World Petroleum Council in coordination with NOGA.



H.E. Shaikh Mohammed said, the events in the list would promote the prestigious status enjoyed by Bahrain globally and contribute to the revitalization of trade and economic movement to the Kingdom, as well as increase awareness in the participants, who would benefit from the wealth of knowledge and experience of the specialist speakers, from various disciplines. The events would also provide access to the latest technology, provide learning opportunities, and contribute to increase business activities including in travel, hotel occupancy and car rentals, which would contribute to the revitalization of the tourist and commercial traffic in the country, helping to revive the national economy. He praised the organizers of the events for choosing Bahrain to host international events, wishing them every success to achieve their goals and for the benefit and interest of the Kingdom.
