Energy Minister receives 16th Middle East Corrosion Conference delegation led by Chairman

Minister of Energy His Excellency Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza met in his office at the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) on Tuesday, March 1, Engineer Abdullah Al Ghamdi Chairman of the Advisory Committee of 16^th Middle East Corrosion Conference and Exhibition, held under the patronage of the Minister. The event is held at the Gulf International Convention Center - Gulf Hotel from February 8 to 11, 2016.

The Chairman was accompanied by members of the organizing committee and President of Bahrain Society of Engineers (BSE) Engineer Majeed Al Gassab. Present at the meeting were Dr. Ahmed Ali Al Sharyan, General Secretary of NOGA and Mr. Ali Abdul Jabar Al Sawad, General Manager, Strategies and Planning.

The Minister welcomed the delegation and expressed his appreciation for the success of the conference and the encouraging response from participants which enhanced Bahrain's position as a major regional hub for hosting specialized petroleum events.

H.E. Dr. Mirza also extended his gratitude and appreciation to Saudi Aramco for its support and enduring contribution to events held in Bahrain, and for co-organizing conferences. He wished further constructive cooperation in the oil and gas sector in both the brotherly Kingdoms, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, praising the historic cooperation that linked Bahraini oil companies with those in Saudi Arabia, yielding significant positive results throughout history.

He expressed his delight at the efforts made by the committee for the good organization of the event and for the support provided by the oil sector and other specialized companies in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, which contributed to the success of the conference and exhibition in achieving positive results.

Engineer Al Ghamdi expressed his gratitude and appreciation to H.E. Dr. Mirza for patronising the Corrosion Conference and Exhibition. He also thanked Dr. Al Sharyan for opening of the event. He praised, on behalf of the organizing committee, the support provided by the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain and by the national oil and gas companies to facilitate and streamline all matters concerning logistics, procedures, organization and accommodation in Bahrain.
