Energy Minister receives Head of Conferences of Messe Frankfurt Middle East

Minister of Energy His Excellency Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza received in his NOGA office Mr. Barth de Ridder, Head of Conferences and Training at Messe Frankfurt Middle East. Also present at the meeting were NOGA Strategies and Planning General Manager Ali A. Jabar Al Sawad and Bahrain National Gas Company (Banagas) General Manager, Administration and Finance, Mr. Mohammed Al Hosni.



The Minister congratulated Mr. De Ridder for choosing the Kingdom of Bahrain as venue for Infrasec - Infrastructure Security Conference to benefit from the attractive environment the Kingdom offered for international conferences and exhibitions and the excellent facilities and conducive atmosphere provided by the government for holding such events. He praised the relevance of the conference theme at a time when the region was witnessing unprecedented challenges, especially those related to infrastructure development. He said he hoped the conference would add significant value to the key area of infrastructure security in Bahrain.



Mr. De Ridder gave a detailed presentation about the preparations made for the event to the Minister, including the conference program, speaker-list, as well as all related organizational and logistical details. He expressed gratitude to the Minister for the warm reception and discussions on several regulatory matters pertaining to the conference. He praised the support received for the conference from the Minister. He also thanked the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) and Banagas, for their cooperation.



The conference, under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Mirza, is being organized by the UAE office of Messe Frankfurt GmbH during April 18-19 at the Gulf International Convention Centre, Gulf Hotel, where participants will discuss trends, challenges and innovative solutions in the field of energy and key security issues in the energy sector. The event is being organised in cooperation with NOGA and is supported by Banagas.



During the two day conference, participants will explore energy trends, challenges and creative solutions to a topical and globally challenging issue of security challenges in the energy sector. Some of the critical topics to be discussed at the event include:



• Creating a Culture of Safety and Security in the Energy Sector



• Alternate Ways to Respond to Energy Supply Disruption



• Demonstrating Readiness and Speed of Response
