To promote cooperation between the public and private sectors...Oil Minister meets Bahrain Association of Banks

Minister of Oil His Excellency Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa met a Bahrain Association of Banks (BAB) delegation, which included a number of officials from banks and financial institutions in the Kingdom of Bahrain. They reviewed aspects of enhancing cooperation between the private and the public sector in line with government forum in 2016 related to activating participatory growth between the two sectors.



The Minister presented a detailed account of the major projects undertaken by the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) during the meeting, including the expansion and modernization of the Refinery Project at the Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco), the new pipeline project to transport oil between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, scheduled to enter into service in 2018, and Liquefied Natural Gas Terminal. He also briefed the delegation about Nogaholding Company, the investment arm of NOGA, which works to secure and increase investments and growth of its oil assets in the Kingdom, to make Bahrain an important international player.



The delegation praised the meeting with the Minister, which had a great impact in promoting readiness of the financial and banking sector in Bahrain national responsibility towards the vision and to engage in an active partnership to finance government projects in Bahrain to effectively deal with the ideas proposed by the Minister, contributing to the implementation of major energy projects and beneficial to the national economy of the Kingdom.
