Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Daina, Minister of Oil and Environment, Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, met with Xie Zhenhua, Special Envoy for Climate Change of China.
The meeting came on the sidelines of the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
The two sides discussed ways to enhance Bahrain-China cooperation in areas concerned with protecting the environment and confronting and adapting to the effects of climate change.
The minister commended the bilateral relations between the two countries, highlighting China’s role in transitioning to a green economy and implementing the sustainable development goals (SDGs).
