H.E. Shaikh Mohammed bin
Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Oil, received at his office at the National Oil
and Gas Authority (NOGA) on Wednesday, 17 May, 2017, Eng. Nizar Al-Shamasi, Chairman of the Gulf
Society for Maintenance and Reliability (GSMR), Chairman of the Organizing
Committee for the 4th Middle East maintenance and reliability Conference. Along
with him came a number of the board members, the organizing committee of the
conference and Eng. Masoud Al Harami, Chairman of the Bahrain Society of
engineers in the presence of HE Dr. Ahmed Ali Al Sheryan, Secretary General of
the National Oil and Gas Authority.
The Minister welcomed the
Chairman of the Gulf Society for Maintenance and Reliability and all of the
other attendees, and thanked them for their sincere efforts that contributed to
the success of the fourth Middle East Maintenance and reliability Conference
and Exhibition 2016, which was hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain at the Gulf
Conference Center – Gulf Hotel, December 2016. He also wished them every
success for the next maintenance conference, which is expected to take place in
the Kingdom of Bahrain in 2018. His Excellency, the Minister stressed that the
Kingdom of Bahrain welcomes the hosting of such regular global events held
every two years in the Kingdom that witnesses unique presence and participation.
The National Oil and Gas Authority will not hesitate to support and succeed in
achieving positive results regarding the global events that enhances the
prestige of the Kingdom of Bahrain as an important regional centre that holds
international specialized events.
A demonstration of the
future-plan along with the arrangements needed to prepare and coordinate for
the Middle East Maintenance and Reliability Conference and Exhibition 2018 was
discussed during meeting. The Minister Oil also looked at the timeline to
prepare and organize the conference and exhibition in order to achieve the
distinctive results and objectives sought by all.
For his part, Eng. Nizar
Al-Shamasi, Chairman of the Gulf Society for Maintenance and Reliability, the
organizers of the Maintenance and Reliability Conference and Exhibition,
thanked HE Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Minister of Oil, for his
continuous support and guidance that contributed a lot in the distinctive
success of the 2016 conference and exhibition. He also thanked the Oil and Gas
Authority along with the other oil companies in Bahrain for their support to
the conference, which also played a role in the success of this International
Industrial event that Bahrain hosts every two years.
