Energy Minister meets health conference organizing committee members

Minister of Energy His Excellency Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza, met on Thursday, March 17 in his Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) office Mr. Ahmed Al Banna, CEO of Origin Group – Gulf region, Director of health conference, accompanied by a delegation including Dr. Mohammad Saber- head of Bahrain Physicians Association and Dr. Mohammed Saleh, association member and Medical Services Manager in Awali Hospital-Bapco Dr. Spyridon Trous, members of the health conference organizing committee. Also present at the meeting was Mr. Ali Abdul Jabar Al Sawad, General Manager, Strategies and Planning at the NOGA.



The Minister welcomed the delegation members and wished them success for the unique conference which covered occupational health and safety. He congratulated the sponsors and all participants of the conference from various organizations and institutions. He said he was glad to see the conference aimed to build on the human aspect and focussed on health and safety in the workplace and community, which would contribute to increasing productivity and raise work efficiency and social responsibility among individuals and businesses.



The delegation presented a formal letter of the Energy Minister seeking Patronage to the occupational health conference, a modern universal subject and concern of major international companies who have realised the importance of treating human beings better so they can serve the institution positively. The employees need to retain close ties with family and work as well as with society in order to have the best physiological, professional and mental health. The conference covers the Middle East and North Africa region, and is expected to attract major international companies to widespread awareness in the region about the human aspect and wellbeing in the production process.



Organising committee members thanked H.E. Dr Mirza and expressed their delight and appreciation for his Patronage. They said the suggestions given by the Minister would contribute a lot in the success of the event, and serve companies, institutions and a large section of society, they said. The conference is scheduled to be held in Kingdom of Bahrain during the last quarter of 2016.
