Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak Bin Dainah, Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs inaugurated the sixth Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Middle East Artificial Lift Conference and Exhibition held under the theme "Towards Sustainable, Efficient, and Reliable Artificial Lift Technology."
Organised by the SPE in collaboration with the Ministry of Oil and Environment, and supported by Bapco Energies, Saudi Aramco, and other regional and international oil companies, the event drew over 1,000 industry experts, specialists, and executives.
The minister highlighted the conference’s role in the collaboration among specialists, technicians, and researchers worldwide, focusing on artificial lift technologies and the latest innovations to enhance production efficiency and ensure sustainable use of natural resources and energy security.
Dr. Bin Dainah noted the SPE's efforts in continuing to organise this event in Bahrain, as well as the supporting companies, speakers, and global participants who contributed to its success.
The conference featured technical sessions on critical topics, including reliable and efficient artificial lift, the importance of research and development in this field, advancements in design, modelling, and optimisation, as well as health, safety, and environmental considerations. Discussions also covered production lifecycle management and the role of artificial intelligence in enhancing artificial lift applications.
Dr. Bin Dainah opened the accompanying exhibition, where over 30 companies, including Bapco Energies, Saudi Aramco, Schlumberger, Halliburton, Silverwell, Weatherford, and Baker Hughes, showcased the latest innovations in artificial lift technologies and research on optimising production.
