Oil Minister participates in 12th Arab Energy Conference

Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Daina, Minister of Oil and Environment  and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, participated in the 12th Arab Energy Conference held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of the State of Qatar.


The conference, organised by the Organisation of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC), was attended by energy and oil ministers, senior officials, specialists and academics.


Dr. Bin Daina emphasised Bahrain’s keenness to participate in global oil and environmental events to exchange information, discuss economic challenges, and find sustainable solutions.


The conference discussed key topics related to the global oil sector, means of developing institutional frameworks for Arab ideas and global oil market factors affecting Arab countries.


The conference featured panel sessions discussing international energy market developments, sustainable development, energy sources, biofuels, petroleum industries, and technological developments.


They discussed the impact of these developments on the Arab energy sector, the role of biofuels in the energy transition, and the future role of hydrogen.
