Oil Minister participates in OAPEC meeting

 Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Bin Daina, Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, participated in the meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Organisation of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC).
 
The meeting chaired by Dr. Hayyan Abdul Ghani, the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Oil Minister, discussed views and coordination of stances and efforts for the development of the oil sector in Arab countries.
 
The meeting discussed items on its agenda, including: the organisation's draft estimated budget, the results of the OAPEC Scientific Award for the year 2022, and a review of the activities of the General Secretariat related to the environment and climate change.
 
They also highlighted the studies prepared by the organisation pertaining to economic and technical studies related to oil, gas and the environment.
 
The minister said that the OAPEC meeting is aimed at enhancing cooperation between member states to advance the energy sector, economies of member states, and consolidate Arab cooperation in oil and gas sectors.
