Bahrain, Qatar environmental cooperation discussed

Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Bin Daina, Minister of Oil and Environment and special Envoy for Climate Affairs, met with Shaikh Dr Faleh bin Nasser bin Ahmed bin Ali Al Thani, the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, on the sidelines of the 28th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
 
The meeting reviewed means of enhancing cooperation in the environmental and climate sectors. 
 
Dr. Shaikh Faleh bin Nasser visited Bahrain’s pavilion in the COP28 accompanying exhibition and was briefed on Bahrain's initiatives, strategic plans, national projects, and international efforts in environmental protection, sustainable development, and climate security. 
 
Shaikh Dr. Faleh bin Nasser expressed keenness on developing cooperation between the two countries. 
 
He commended the exhibition's initiatives to tackle environmental challenges and climate change impacts, and highlight plans, strategies, and projects to preserve and sustain the environment. 
 
He wished Bahrain further success and prosperity.
