H.E Minister of Oil receives the General Secretary of the Gulf Chemists Union

H.E. Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Oil, received Dr. Abdulwahid Al Nakal, President of the Bahraini Chemists Association, who introduced to H.E., Mr. Jamal bin Nasser Al Otaibi, Secretary General of the Gulf Chemists Union (GCU) and the accompanying delegation, in the premises of the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA).

H.E. the Minister of Oil welcomed the General Secretary and the accompanying delegation, noting the role of the Union in contributing to the development of the Gulf Arena in the field of chemistry, in order to achieve the requirements of the Gulf Renaissance. H.E. wished them success and hoping to achieve their future aspirations and reach their objectives of sustainable development of the GCC countries in the field of chemistry and other related fields.

Mr. Jamal bin Nasser Al Otaibi, Secretary General of the GCU, thanked H.E. the Minister of Oil for his support, that the Union has enjoyed in all activities and programs since its establishment, and the emphasis on communicating with different GCC and foreign chemical organizations, institutions, bodies and associations with a view in promoting linkages, exchange of experience and cooperation. In addition, to develop various specialized programs in universities and institutes specializing in chemistry, in line with up-to-date programs similar to the developed countries. 

Dr. Abdulwahid Al Nakal, President of the Bahraini Chemical Society and the accompanying delegation, extended many thanks and appreciation to H.E. the Minister of Oil, on the good reception and important topics that were discussed regarding the oil sector. H.E. the Minister of Oil was keen to support all activities and programs carried out by the Union.

GCU was established in the GCC countries under the name, Gulf Chemists Union in June 2016, where the Kingdom of Bahrain has been chosen as its headquarters, which includes trade unions, associations, bodies and institutions involved in the field of chemistry.
