Bahrain Sport Day 2018

The National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) organised a sports event on Tuesday morning, 13 February 2018, with the participation of the staff of NOGA. This day came after the approval of H.R.H. Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, to adopt a national sports day in the Kingdom of Bahrain, with the support of H.H. Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the chairman of supreme for Youth and Sports, President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Charity Organisation.

H.E. Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Minister of Oil, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the H.R.H. the Prime Minister, on having Bahrain Sports Day an annual day celebration with the participation of all members of the society in the public and private sector. H.E. also appreciated the attention and guidance of H.H. Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. On the other hand, H.E the minister praised the efforts of the Bahrain Olympic Committee has shown a significant interest in the sport in the Kingdom of Bahrain on all levels, in line of the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.

H.E minister of oil stressed on the importance of all kind of sports that play a major role in the development of the communities and keep their attitudes in line with Peace, love and loyalty to leadership and land.

Moreover, NOGA's staff had all participated in the various sports activities program prepared by the organizing committee, which included many activities including walking marathon, soccer and others. Expressing their deep happiness of this sports day.

The Bahrain Sports Day is supported by the National Olympic Committees in all GCC countries, where they have agreed on having the National Sports Day in the second week of February of every year in all GCC countries.
