Energy Minister receives public sector employees selected for the First Deputy Prime Minister (FDPM) Fellowship

Minister of Energy Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza received a number of public sector employees selected for the First Deputy Prime Minister (FDPM) Fellowships including Mr. Ahmed Humaidan from Central Bank of Bahrain and Ms. Dana Majid from the Labour Market Regulatory Authority.



The Minister welcomed the delegation and praised the vision of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister for the outstanding program for the development of national cadres and preparing future leaders. The Minister discussed with the delegation a solar energy report, pointing out the energy ministry took keen interest in supporting solar energy projects and was open to opportunities for solar energy applications in particular and renewable energies in general. The long term goal of the country was establishing a sustainable energy unit of to support the renewable energy initiatives in the country to promote energy efficiency. He said there had to be a united effort in preparing a road map, as well as plans and strategies to be presented to the esteemed government before concrete steps could be taken to support renewable energies.



The delegation expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the Minister and present officials from the energy sector for the warm reception and hospitality, and for the cooperation in the process of unitedly carrying out research work in the field of sustainable energy.



The meeting was attended by Engineer Jassim Isa Al Shirawi, General Manager of Oil and Gas Affairs Dr. Abdul Majeed Abdul Karim Habib, Advisor to Energy Minister and, Ms. Mai Ashour from the First Deputy Prime Minister's office.
