Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak Bin Dainah, Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, emphasised the support Bahraini women receive from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, which has solidified their role as essential partners in nation-building.
He highlighted the government’s initiatives, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to enhance women’s contributions to Bahrain’s comprehensive development. These efforts have empowered Bahraini women to excel locally, regionally, and internationally, qualifying them for leadership roles and positioning them as key contributors to sustainable development, he added.
Dr. Bin Dainah commended the unwavering commitment of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), in championing women’s advancement. He noted HRH’s efforts in developing their skills and capabilities, enabling them to work alongside men in achieving Bahrain’s aspirations for the future.
He recognised Bahraini Women’s Day as an occasion to celebrate the remarkable progress, leadership, and contributions of Bahraini women. He expressed pride in their achievements in the energy and environmental sectors, where they have demonstrated excellence and innovation in leadership and executive roles.
The minister also highlighted the Ministry of Oil and Environment’s commitment to empowering women through resources and training programmes designed to prepare them for leadership in this vital sector. He wished Bahraini women continued success in driving the nation’s progress.
