The second GDA International Downstream Conference and Exhibition to be held in February

 Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the second Gulf Downstream Association (GDA) International Downstream Conference and Exhibition will be held from 13 to 15 February 2023, at Exhibition World Bahrain.

 

The event is being organised by the GDA, and the M3 Company, in cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Oil and Environment, and with the support of various Bahraini, Gulf and international companies.

 

The Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, HE Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Daina, expressed his thanks for His Royal Highness' unwavering support to the Kingdom's oil and gas sector as part of the Kingdom's comprehensive development.

 

HE Dr. bin Daina noted that His Royal Highness' generous patronage of the conference, emphasizes its importance as one of the global forums in the Middles East, in the oil, gas and petrochemical sector.

 

 HE Dr. bin Daina commended the cooperation between the GDA and other organising agencies and the Ministry of Oil and Environment in arranging the event, which is a leading strategic platform in the refining sector.

 

 His Excellency the Minister explained that the conference will be a strategic platform and an excellent opportunity to benefit from investment projects and creative innovations, in addition to discussing a number of specialized topics to meet various technological, financing and manufacturing challenges, as well as exchanging information, experiences and best practices in this field.

 

 The conference will be attended by dignitaries from GCC countries, CEOs of a large number of national, regional and international oil companies, as well as petroleum consulting companies and technological industries, experts, specialists and directors of companies working in the field of oil refining, as well as interested parties,  in the field of refining technology in the technical, research and academic circles.

 

 The conference will also focus on technical and scientific papers and discussion sessions on many specialized topics in this field, with the participation of more than 150 specialised speakers from different countries of the world, the most important of which are: challenges and opportunities for the growth of the refining industry, flexibility, decarbonization and sustainability, obstacles and digitization in the refining and processing sector, marketing and human capital management, market analysis and industry trends.

 

HE Dr. bin Daina noted that the conference's activities will include keynote sessions, technical workshops, and an accompanying exhibition that includes more than 500 specialized companies from different countries of the world.

 

Those companies include Nogaholding, Saudi Aramco, SATORP, SASREF and SAMREF, Shell, Yokogawa, Honeywell and many international companies, in addition to specialized events for youth and high-level sessions for VIPs.

 

 The event will provide a great opportunity for the participants and visitors to exchange innovative ideas and possible solutions to the challenges facing the refining industry and other related industries.
