H.R.H. the Prime Minister patronize the 11th International Conference and Exhibition on Chemistry in Industry

​Under the patronage of H.R.H. Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, the Kingdom of Bahrain will host the 11th International Conference and Exhibition on Chemistry in Industry, from October 29 - 31 2019, at the Gulf Hotel. This important event is organized by the American Chemical Society, represented by the Saudi branch of International Chemistry, in coordination with the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) and supported by Saudi Aramco and a number of local and international companies.

The event will be attended by a large number of senior industry professionals, technicians, chemists and academics who will discuss a number of issues related to the challenges facing the petroleum, chemical and energy products industry.

H.E. Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Oil, expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to H.R.H. the Prime Minister, for his patronage of this international event, which is one of the most important conferences and exhibitions in the oil and chemical industry, as this event has earned a good reputation in the Middle East. H.E. pointed out that this conference is one of the conferences where a number of large international companies specialized in the industry are sharing the latest experiences and are providing the best management and technical practices and reviewing the best innovative solutions to promote the development and progress and prosperity in this industry.

H.E. the Minister of Oil said that the topics of this year came to emphasize the importance of innovation and creativity and the training of human cadres to work on finding the best solutions. As well as, active participation in all international forums to see the latest technologies in exploration, production and refining in order to promote and improve sustainability. H.E. appreciated the Bahraini youth that contributed to the achievement of many national achievements, the most important of which is the Bahrain Refinery Project, the Oil Pipeline Replacement Project between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Third Gas Factory and other important projects that enhance and improve the national economy. Wishing all success to this event and in achieving the desired goals.

The conference will include five main themes: the role of innovative materials and their applications in future industries, the circular economy and achieving the concept of sustainability, the role of artificial intelligence and technology in the discovery of materials, and the creation of catalysts in the chemical industry and refining and finally innovative solutions to the challenges of oil exploration and extraction.

The conference is expected to attract more than 500 participants from researchers, officials and chief executives, as well as engineers, chemists, specialists, businessmen and investors in the oil and gas sector and universities from the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Gulf Cooperation Council, the Middle East and the world. The 956-square-meter exhibition is expected to attract more than 30 national and international oil and gas and refining companies, including Saudi Aramco, German Metals, SABIC, SASREF, Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO), GCI Group, Halberton and other companies specialized in this vital field.
