Oil Minister Receives President of Bahrain Society of Engineers Board

Minister of Oil His Excellency Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, met in his office at the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) on Wednesday, July 13, Engineer Mr. Masoud Ebrahim A-Hermi President of Bahrain Society of Engineers (BSE), who was accompanied by a number of Board of Directors. The meeting was attended by NOGA General Secretary Dr. Ahmed Ali Al Sharyan and General Manager of Strategies and Planning Mr. Ali A. Jabar Al Sawad.

The Minister welcomed the BSE delegation and praised their role in organizing international oil and gas events in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The delegation briefed the Minister about the BSE events planned in coordination with the NOGA during this year, including the Middle East Maintenance Conference and Exhibition (Maintcon 2016), which will be held under the patronage of H.E. Shaikh Mohammed at the Gulf Convention Centre - Gulf Hotel from December 11 to 14, 2016.

The Minister discussed with the delegation some of the NOGA projects, which advanced the development of the oil and gas sector and prosperity of Bahrain. Among the projects discussed were the Bahrain Refinery modernization project, Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Project, the new oil pipeline between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia and other key developments. He expressed his satisfaction with the existing cooperation between BSE and NOGA and wished further collaboration, particularly with regard to conferences, exhibitions and other oil sector events organized in the Kingdom.

The delegation members congratulated H.E. Shaikh Mohammed on his trusted prestigious appointment as the Minister of Oil. Engineer Masoud expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Minister for the warm reception and rewarding discussions and for the continuing strong cooperation between the BSE and NOGA.
